1st Week of Work

Well, I just completed my first week of work.  I worked the last 4 out of 5 nights and am so glad that is done (Shane is too!).  The first night was so hard to leave Dylan, I even got a little teary eyed on my way to work.  When I got home the next morning he was laying in bed awake and cooing.  I bent over into his crib and said "Mommy's here" and he let out a  big squeal followed by the cutest smile.  That just melted my heart.

He is finally starting to like to be in his swing.

So Cute

Well the last few weeks have gone by very fast.  I have been getting prepared to go back to work.  I am not looking forward to leaving my little baby for 13 hours.  I go back to work on January 20th.  I can't believe how quickly these past 11 weeks have gone by.
Dylan had his 2 month check up this past tuesday.  He weighed 12 lb 7 oz and was 24 inches long.  He was in the 50th percentile for weight and the 83rd percentile for length.  Who would have guess he would be so tall?  He also got his 1st set of immunizations, three shots and a liquid drink.  Shane was such a good Dad and comforted him during and after his shots.  Meanwhile I sat nearby sad that he was in such pain.  When we got home he was very fussy so we gave him some baby tylenol which seemed to help.
This week we also had our first date night.  Our friends Amanda and Danny came over and babysat Dylan while we went out to Asian Star to enjoy some Sushi and Mai-tai's.  It was nice but weird not to have Dylan right there.  Amanda did such a great job and had him in bed sleeping by the time we got home.  I really missed not putting him to bed so I went in the nursery and just stared at him for a little while.  It is amazing how you miss the little things so quickly.

What a happy baby!

Always loves to smile...

Sitting in his bumbo chair like a big boy.

Well, almost always likes to smile... I think he has had enough with the picture taking.

Adorable Dylan

Just thought I would post some more cute pics of our baby.

Don't ya just want to smooch those little chubby cheeks!

Our 1st Christmas

This Christmas we had a new addition to our family.  We are so lucky to have such a sweet, adorable little baby in our lives.  It was fun to dress Dylan up in his holiday clothes.  On Christmas Eve we went up to Snowbird and saw the torchlight parade as well as Santa coming down from the tram.  Dylan stayed nice and warm and even slept through pictures with Santa.  Dylan's Grandpa Miller flew in from Wisconsin to visit and this was the first time they met.  I can't wait until Dylan is old enough to remember all of these fun things, although we are both already missing the newborn stage as he is growing very fast.

Family Pictures

Last week we got our family pictures done.  Dylan was 6 weeks old and he did fairly well.  We were waiting for the snow to stop and when it did the temperature was only 15 degrees.  I know we were crazy but we were desperate to get them done in time to send out for Christmas.  The challenge was to get a picture when Dylan wasn't crying, although I don't blame him.  For the inside pictures we went up to Snowbird to the lodge where Shane works.  They had fire going and the Christmas tree was out so we took advantage of both of those.

Dylan is starting to smile when we smile at him.  So cute!

Our cute baby and the Christmas tree

We got our Christmas Tree!

Yesterday we went out and got our Christmas tree.  It was pretty cold outside but Dylan didn't seem to mind.  We made sure he was snuggled up and warm.
