The Mowen Family: Pennsylvania

We got back last week from a great trip to Pennsylvania (Shane's hometown). I am starting to wonder how the airlines can offer free child in lap seats up to 2 years old because Dylan sure was a handful this last flight and he was only 9 months. Besides the trying flight, we had a great trip. We came back during Old Home Week which is basically a town festival that they have every three years. We went to a car show, fireworks, a few parties (often the Waffle House following the parties). Shane's mom Tracey watched Dylan while Shane and I took a short side trip to Ocean City, MD. That was the first time that we left Dylan for that long. We sure did miss him but we had a great time! It was so nice to listen to the waves crashing against the shore. The water temperature was perfect and so much fun to swim in. We spent the night walking along the boardwalk and stopping for treats along the way...mmmmm...funnel cakes and ice cream. Yup, I'm ready for that again! Shane's Aunt Neen, had a fun party the last Friday we were there for the family and friends. The town had a wonderful fireworks show about 200 feet from her backyard so we had front row seats. Throughout our vacation we had a lot of great food and good times with family and friends.
